OLEAN, NY — Tasheen J. Robinson, 48, of Hinsdale was taken into custody at 3:52 p.m. June 10 after he was located on Reed Street in Olean, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Robinson was charged with second-degree strangulation, fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation stemming from an incident that occurred June 7 in Little Valley, authorities said.
He was processed and transported to Little Valley Town Court for arraignment, where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
Robinson is due to appear in Cattaraugus County Court at a later date.
While incarcerated in the Cattaraugus County Jail at 12 p.m. June 11, Robinson was also arrested on one count of failure to register within 10 days of an address change following an investigation by the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigations Bureau, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office said Robinson, a level 3 sex offender, was found to be living in Andover and not at his registered address in Hinsdale.
He was arraigned in Little Valley Town Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail, authorities said.
Robinson is scheduled to appear in Little Valley Town Court at a later date and time.
