PENOBSCOT COUNTY, ME — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people on Operating Under the Influence charges Tuesday.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to a rollover crash on County Road in Milford.
The investigation determined that a 17-year-old male driver from Old Town was operating under the influence.
The driver was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence and Operating Beyond License Restrictions.
Speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
At 7:35 p.m., a deputy stopped a speeding vehicle in Enfield.
After observing signs of alcohol impairment, the deputy conducted a further investigation and arrested Dylan Palmer, 32, of Lee, on charges of Operating Under the Influence.
At 8:05 p.m., deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck that left the roadway and struck a utility pole in Glenburn.
A witness reported seeing the truck go airborne before coming to rest.
The driver, Benjamin Slick, 32, of Glenburn, admitted to being distracted by his cell phone.
Deputies observed signs of alcohol impairment and arrested him for Operating Under the Influence.
Distracted driving and alcohol influence were both factors in the crash.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scenes by Milford Fire, Kenduskeag Fire and Versant Electric.
