MILFORD, MA — A Florida man was arrested Thursday after allegedly brandishing a firearm at a juvenile following a dispute outside a convenience store.
The Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call at 2:28 p.m. Thursday from a juvenile reporting a male in a grey or blue SUV brandished a firearm following a dispute in front of 7-Eleven, located at 127 Main Street.
The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival, and a canvas of the area was completed without locating the vehicle or suspect.
At approximately 2:33 p.m., the suspect vehicle was identified using Flock technology, leading to the identification of Nicholas Ybarra Perez, 24, of Miramar, Florida, as the suspect.
During a field interview, Ybarra Perez told officers the gun he brandished was a BB gun and provided the location in the car where it was stored.
Ybarra Perez was released on $200 bail and is scheduled for arraignment at Milford District Court.
