HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, PA — Police have obtained a felony arrest warrant for Helbert E. Mercado, 44, following a motor vehicle pursuit May 19 in Highland Township.
Mercado, of Parkesburg, was observed driving an orange 2011 Mazda CX-9 while his driver’s license was suspended, according to police.
Police said officers attempted a traffic stop, but Mercado fled at a high rate of speed.
During the pursuit, Mercado nearly caused a crash and placed the motoring public in jeopardy, police said.
Police said they are actively seeking Mercado.
