BIDDEFORD, ME — Maine State Police are seeking information in the unsolved disappearance of Angel “Tony” Torres, who was reported missing by his family on May 24, 1999.
Torres was in the Saco, Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach area at the time of his disappearance, according to state police.
Police said foul play is suspected.
Authorities said the reward in the case was increased from $5,000 to $10,000 on April 1, 2016, what would have been Torres’ 38th birthday.
The reward was increased to $15,000 on May 21, 2016, the 17th anniversary of his disappearance, police said.
On the anniversary of his disappearance in 2021, the reward was increased to $16,500, according to police.
State police said another donation raised the reward to $20,000 on Aug. 23, 2021.
