WARWICK, RI — Devan Garcia, 24, of Cranston, was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Third District Court in Warwick on charges stemming from an investigation into threatening social media posts directed at public police events and an overnight barricade incident that concluded peacefully after negotiations.
The charges are felony assault and/or battery, six counts of possession of large-capacity feeding devices, reckless driving/eluding law enforcement in a high-speed pursuit, and resisting arrest.
Garcia was released on $25,000 personal recognizance with the condition of pretrial services monitoring for mental health.
His next court date is Aug. 19 for a pre-arraignment conference.
