Man arrested on assault charges in Groton

GROTON, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a Ryegate man on multiple charges stemming from a March dispute.

Nathan Bragg, 35, was taken into custody on May 19, 2026, following an investigation that began March 18, 2026.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were notified of a citizen dispute in Groton at 12:39 a.m. on March 18, 2026.

The investigation revealed that Bragg had committed aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and criminal threatening.

The victims were identified as Drew Leete, 45, of Newbury; Christopher Palermo, 49, of Lisbon, New Hampshire; and Thomasina Howard, 40, of Bradford.

Bragg was transported to Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division for arraignment.

He was ordered held on $1,000 bail.
