NEWBURY, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a 60-year-old man after he allegedly displayed a firearm during a dispute with a neighbor.
Troopers from the Saint Johnsbury barracks were notified of a dispute on Leighton Hill Road at approximately 6:52 p.m. May 16, 2026.
Troopers responded to the area and located the involved parties.
Investigation determined that Scott W. Zambon, of Newbury, had displayed a firearm while in a confrontation with Howard Stevens, 45, of Newbury.
Zambon was arrested and transported to the Saint Johnsbury barracks without incident.
He was released with a citation to appear in Orange Superior Court on July 8, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. to answer to a charge of reckless endangerment.
