CHITTENANGO, NY — The New York State Police are assisting the Chittenango Police Department with an ongoing missing person investigation involving Anna J. Blaszkow, 24, of Chittenango, who is also believed to identify as Ansel Blaszkow.
On May 14, 2026, the parents of Blaszkow reported them missing to the Chittenango Police Department after they had not been seen since May 11, 2026.
The family became concerned after locating a letter expressing self harm.
Investigators believe Blaszkow utilized transportation in an unknown vehicle from their residence in the village of Chittenango to Chittenango Falls State Park on May 12, 2026.
Blaszkow is described as 5’3 and 240 pounds with brown hair.
They were last seen wearing a high visibility jacket with a NASA logo, black or dark gray t-shirt, sweatpants, and white sneakers.
The New York State Police are assisting Chittenango Police with the investigation and search efforts in and around the park area.
The public may notice a heavy police presence, including K9 units, drones, New York State Park Police, and Department of Environmental Conservation Forest Rangers.
Search efforts are continuing throughout the day.
