WEST RUTLAND, VT — Vermont State Police have arrested a 63-year-old man on a charge of aggravated stalking involving a 14-year-old girl.
Peter A. Pfenning, of Castleton, was taken into custody following a joint investigation by Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Vermont Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Division, and Vermont State Police Field Force Division.
The investigation was launched in response to a report of suspicious and concerning behavior by an adult male toward the juvenile victim.
The incidents occurred in West Rutland and Brandon.
After investigation, authorities determined Pfenning committed aggravated stalking against the girl, according to police.
Pfenning was charged under 13 VSA 1063 (a)(4).
