NEWFIELD, NY — A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Van Kirk Road has died from her injuries.
Amber R. Rawn, 44, of Newfield, died May 14, according to New York State Police.
The incident occurred May 7 at approximately 10:28 p.m. when Anthony J. Vandermark, 28, of Newfield, was operating a 2023 Ford Escape and traveling south on Van Kirk Road.
A preliminary investigation determined that Vandermark failed to observe Rawn in the roadway and struck her.
Rawn was treated at the scene by members of Bangs Ambulance and then flown by LifeFlight to Upstate Medical Center.
The investigation is continuing.
