HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A probation check led to the discovery of a large cache of weapons and gun-making equipment at a home, Suffolk County Police said.
Officers recovered four assault rifles, a shotgun, a revolver, a stun gun, high-capacity magazines and multiple gun-making parts and tools, including receivers, molds and a drill press.
A 37-year-old man from Huntington Station was arrested following the check by Suffolk County Probation officers.
The man was on probation on a stolen property charge.
He was charged with multiple felony weapon possession offenses and controlled substance charges.
Suffolk Police were assisted by Suffolk County Probation and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Squad.
