HADLEY, NY — A Corinth man has been arrested on a felony charge of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person in the first degree.
Zachary M. Nick, 27, of Corinth, was arrested Friday by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Nick is accused of knowingly acting in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental and moral welfare of a person who was unable to care for themself because of a physical disability, mental disease or defect.
He allegedly wrapped his arm around the victim’s neck, forced them to the ground, pulled their arms behind their back and placed a knee on their neck while yelling at them.
The incident allegedly occurred on Feb. 21 on Kings Road in Hadley.
Nick was released on an appearance ticket pending proceedings in Hadley Town Court.
