ALEXANDRIA BAY, NY — A golf cart operator died following a collision with a pickup truck on State Route 12 near the intersection of Pinehurst Road on May 12, 2026.
New York State Police responded to the crash at approximately 2:42 p.m., along with the Alexandria Bay Fire Department, Alexandria Bay Ambulance, and Thousand Island Emergency Rescue Service.
The preliminary investigation indicates the operator of a 2013 EZGO TXT golf cart was attempting to cross State Route 12 from the east shoulder to the west shoulder when the golf cart was struck by a southbound 2018 Ford F150 pickup truck.
The golf cart operator was transported to River Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
