GILBOA, NY — Deputies responded to a report of gunshots near the KOA Campground on Stryker Road on Sunday.
Gunfire reportedly came dangerously close to nearby hikers, according to the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies conducted interviews with multiple witnesses and individuals connected to the incident.
Investigators recovered evidence from the scene, which is currently undergoing examination.
The investigation remains active, and any arrests, if warranted, will be made at a later date.
