SALAMANCA, NY — A Little Valley man was arrested on drug charges following a suspicious person call.
Kenneth J. Grainer, 31, of Little Valley, was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory at 10:30 p.m. May 6, 2026.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person call on Center Street Extension in the town of Salamanca.
During the investigation, deputies found that Grainer had an active warrant out of Cheektowaga Police Department.
Grainer was also found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, suspected fentanyl, suspected Diazepam, packaging material and other miscellaneous paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office.
Grainer was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
He was issued an appearance ticket and uniform traffic ticket for criminal possession of a controlled substance fifth degree, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree, criminally using drug paraphernalia second degree and aggravated unlicensed operation first degree.
Grainer is due in the town of Salamanca Court at a later date.
He was turned over to the custody of Cheektowaga Police Department.
