SCHENECTADY, NY — State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit arrested an 18-year-old on May 5, 2026, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, a class C felony.
Troopers stopped a vehicle on University Place at approximately 6:40 p.m. for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
The investigation discovered and seized an illegally possessed loaded handgun.
The 18-year-old was arrested and transported to State Police Princetown for processing.
The teen was then transported to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
