PENN YAN, NY — A man was arrested on weapons and drug paraphernalia charges after being found unconscious in a vehicle parked on the side of a roadway.
Donal T. Harer, 46, of Watkins Glen, was arrested by Penn Yan Police for criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle parked on the side of the roadway with an unconscious male in the driver’s seat.
Officers made contact with Harer, who was determined to have an active arrest warrant issued by the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.
During a search incident to arrest and an inventory search of Harer’s vehicle, officers found two illegal weapons and drug paraphernalia.
Harer was transported to the Penn Yan Police Department for processing and then transported to the Yates County Jail to await CAP Court.
