ORRINGTON, ME — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 15 on Friday afternoon.
The Penobscot Regional Communications Center received a report of the crash at approximately 1:55 p.m.
One of the vehicles had rolled over, and both vehicles came to rest in a ditch.
Deputies made contact with the sole occupants of each vehicle upon arrival.
One driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, while the second driver was evaluated and released at the scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a sedan traveling on Swetts Pond Road crossed into the path of a southbound truck.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office were assisted by the reconstruction and drone team, along with the Orrington Fire Department.
