Multiple arrests reported in Salamanca

SALAMANCA, NY — The Salamanca Police Department reported multiple arrests and traffic stops between April 22 and April 27.

On April 22, Cardiar Jones, 30, of Salamanca, was taken into custody for harassment following a complaint in the city.

Jones was held for arraignment and for an order of protection to be issued.

Jones was subsequently arraigned on an arrest warrant issued out of the City of Salamanca Court.

Catlin Jackson, 41, of Salamanca, was taken into court on an arrest warrant issued out of the City of Salamanca Court.

Jackson was processed and held for arraignment.

Kattie Schwab, 43, of Salamanca, was issued tickets following a traffic stop in the city.

Schwab was issued tickets for operating a motor vehicle without an inspection as well as aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.

On April 23, Khristerpher Ellis, 36, of Salamanca, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant issued out of the City of Salamanca Court.

Ellis was charged with trespass on a railroad.

Ellis was processed and released with an appearance ticket for a later court date.

On April 26, Lori Cobb, 59, of Jamestown, was issued tickets following a traffic stop in the city.

Cobb was issued tickets for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, operating a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver, improper left hand turn, as well as failure to keep right.

Cobb was issued tickets and released from the scene with a later court date.

Leon Pire, 22, of Salamanca, was taken into custody on a fugitive of justice warrant issued out of McKean County, Pa.

Pire was additionally charged with resisting arrest following a foot pursuit.

Pire was processed and arraigned and turned over to the custody of Cattaraugus County Jail for extradition.

On April 27, Jeffrey Letson, 48, of Salamanca, was taken into custody following a complaint in the city.

Letson was charged with trespass as well as criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Letson was processed and released with an appearance ticket for a later court date.

Linda Ayana, 36, of Salamanca, was taken into custody following a complaint in the city.

Ayana was charged with obstruction of governmental administration.

Ayana was processed and released with an appearance ticket for a later court date.
