Three arrested on domestic violence charges in Penobscot County

PENOBSCOT COUNTY, ME — Deputies responded to three separate domestic incidents within hours of each other on April 27.

At approximately 4:20 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident in Burlington.

During the investigation, deputies determined that Olivia Carpentier, 30, of Burlington, had assaulted and threatened her partner, as well as threatened to burn the residence down.

Carpentier resisted arrest and refused to comply with commands given by deputies.

She was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal restraint, obstructing government administration and refusing to submit to arrest.

At approximately 8:22 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident in Milford.

Deputies arrested Gary Mills, 71, of Milford, on a charge of domestic violence terrorizing after he made threats to set the residence on fire.

Mills was taken to Penobscot County Jail.

Deputies also responded to a late report of a domestic incident that occurred in Corinth.

Linwood Hamilton, 60, of Corinth, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault after he physically kicked a chair from underneath his significant other, causing injuries following an argument.

Hamilton was transported to Penobscot County Jail.
