NORWALK, CT — Norwalk police said a man was arrested in connection with an investigation after a tracking device was found concealed in a vehicle’s wheel well.
Police said Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a report April 16 of a tracking device discovered on a vehicle.
Responding officers determined the device had been hidden within the vehicle’s wheel well, police said.
The Norwalk Police Department Detective Bureau took over the investigation.
Through the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Thomas Martin, 63, of Essex, police said.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Martin through Stamford Superior Court, according to police.
Martin was taken into custody without incident April 24 at Norwalk Police Headquarters, police said.
He was charged with electronic stalking.
Police said bond was set at $75,000.
Martin was scheduled to appear in court April 27.
