Woman charged with shoplifting, receiving stolen property in Pottstown

POTTSTOWN, PA — Police arrested a 71-year-old Pottstown woman Wednesday afternoon in connection with a series of retail thefts at a local grocery store, authorities said.

At 4:14 p.m. on March 5, North Coventry Police Department officers responded to Giant at 86 Glocker Way after receiving a report of retail theft.

Upon investigation, officers identified Katherine V. Davis of Pottstown as the suspect.

Davis has been charged with 12 counts of retail theft and 12 counts of receiving stolen property, both misdemeanor 1 (M1) offenses.

Police said Davis was taken into custody at the scene.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
