Search underway for missing 18-year-old in Harleysville

HARLEYSVILLE, PA — Police are searching for Javon Perez, 18, who was reported missing Saturday evening from his residence in Harleysville.

According to Lower Salford Police, Perez was last seen by family at his home on Friday, April 24, at approximately 10 p.m.

Authorities said Perez is autistic and semi-verbal.

He does not take any medication, does not drive, and does not have a cell phone.

Police reported evidence that Perez packed a bag with clothes before leaving.

Family members told investigators that Perez has previously expressed interest in visiting his uncle in Philadelphia, and he has run away in the past but was previously located walking by police.

Perez is home schooled and does not have any known acquaintances, police said.

He was last seen wearing a gray sweat suit.

Anyone with information about Perez’s whereabouts is asked to contact Lower Salford Police.

Perez’s information has been entered into the National Crime Information Center as missing under complaint number 2026-06566.
