JONESBORO, ME — The Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office has ruled a structure fire accidental after an investigation.
The Jonesboro Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 755 U.S. Route 1 on Thursday at approximately 3:48 p.m.
The Jonesboro Fire Department requested assistance from the State Fire Marshal’s Office to investigate the origin and cause.
Fire investigators responded to the scene on Friday.
Following an examination of the property, investigators determined that the fire originated beneath the pellet stove vent.
No one was present in the residence at the time of the incident.
The fire caused significant damage to the structure.
