Man arrested on grand larceny charge in Coeymans

COEYMANS, NY — State Police arrested a man accused of stealing more than $3,000 worth of products from his workplace.

Dean D. Erno, 34, of Schenectady, was arrested March 23, 2026, and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a class E felony.

Troopers responded to a business in Coeymans at approximately 1:44 a.m. March 14, 2026, for a report of someone entering the property without permission.

The investigation determined that Erno, who was employed by the business, entered the premises after hours at approximately 11:26 p.m. March 13, 2026.

Police said Erno allegedly took a large quantity of a consumable product valued at more than $3,000.

Erno was processed at State Police Latham.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Coeymans Town Court on April 16, 2026, and released.
