NEW LONDON, CT — New London police arrested a city resident in connection with a March shooting that struck an occupied vehicle and two homes.
Police arrested Jamir L. Muller, 21, of New London, on July 11 on a warrant.
The shooting occurred March 15 in the area of Rosemary Street and Bolles Avenue.
Officers found that an occupied vehicle had been struck multiple times by gunfire and that two nearby residences had been hit by bullets.
Investigators recovered 9mm and .40 caliber shell casings at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
On April 1, police arrested Muller and Joel Woodhall, 20, of New London, after finding them in possession of handguns.
Muller was charged at that time with carrying a pistol without a permit and possession of a large-capacity magazine and was released on a $150,000 bond.
The firearm seized from Muller was a .40 caliber Glock 23 equipped with a 30-round magazine.
Forensic testing matched a .40 caliber shell casing from the March shooting to that firearm, leading to the warrant.
Muller faces charges of criminal attempt at first-degree assault, illegal discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, carrying a pistol without a permit and illegal possession of a pistol in a motor vehicle.
He was arraigned July 13 in New London Superior Court and remains held on a $750,000 bond.
He is scheduled to return to court Aug. 25.
The investigation is ongoing.
