ALBANY, NY — Police are investigating a shooting early Saturday in the area of Robin Street and Sherman Street.
Staff at Albany Medical Center Hospital notified police around 3:50 a.m. that a male had entered the emergency department with a gunshot wound.
Officers responded to the hospital and located a 47-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his lower back.
The victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Further investigation determined the shooting occurred in the area of Robin Street and Sherman Street.
The investigation remains ongoing.
