LOCKPORT, NY — An inmate at the Niagara County Correctional Facility was charged after striking a corrections officer during a cleaning detail.
The officer was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries.
Myquaveon Jones, of Lockport, was charged with assault in the second degree.
Jones is scheduled to appear in Niagara County CAP Court on July 11.
