HOPKINTON, RI — A motorcyclist died after a crash late Wednesday on Clarks Falls Road.
Officers responded about 11:18 p.m. to Clarks Falls Road between Kuehn Road and Pine Woods Road for a report of a motorcycle accident.
They found Donald Hopkins Jr., 61, of Hopkinton, unresponsive in the wood line and his motorcycle on the side of the roadway.
The initial investigation indicates Hopkins was traveling from Main Street toward the Connecticut line when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a rock, causing him to lose control.
No other vehicles were involved, and no foul play is suspected.
The Ashaway Fire Department and Ashaway Ambulance responded and transported Hopkins to Westerly Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
