CANANDAIGUA, NY — Police are investigating after a man was thrown from the bed of a pickup truck early Sunday on Lakeshore Drive.
The Canandaigua Police Department responded at 12:31 a.m. July 5 to the report of a personal injury accident.
Officers determined the operator of a pickup truck accelerated at a high rate of speed, causing a male victim to be thrown from the bed of the truck.
The truck fled the scene but was later identified.
The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he remains in guarded condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
