BENSALEM, PA — A 47-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested July 7 on charges of unlawful contact with a minor and sexual abuse of children.
Adner Pagan-Fred initiated a conversation June 17 on a social media and dating application with a female he believed to be 13 years old, police said.
Pagan-Fred suggested they meet and told the juvenile he wanted to be her boyfriend, according to police.
Over the next several days, Pagan-Fred’s communication became increasingly sexual, describing specific sexual acts he planned to perform and requesting sexually explicit photographs, police said.
Investigators determined Pagan-Fred was a lifetime registered sex offender due to a previous conviction under Megan’s Law, according to police.
A warrant was obtained July 2 for Pagan-Fred on charges including unlawful contact with a minor and sexual abuse of children.
Pagan-Fred was taken into custody July 7 by East Whiteland Police Department in Chester County on the Bensalem Township Police arrest warrant.
He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Kevin Wagner Sr. and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $15 million bail.
