VIRGIL, NY — A driver died after a single-vehicle crash July 8 in the town of Virgil.
New York State Police at Homer responded at 11:42 a.m. to Page Green Road near State Route 392.
An investigation determined a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 was traveling south on Page Green Road when the operator exited the roadway and struck an earth embankment for an unknown reason.
No other occupants were in the vehicle.
The operator was transported by TLC Ambulance to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center and was later pronounced deceased.
The name of the operator will not be released pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation is ongoing.
