CLARENDON, VT — A 45-year-old man faces multiple charges following a motor vehicle crash on July 3.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks responded to a crash on Vermont Route 103 at approximately 6:20 a.m.

The operator had left the scene prior to troopers’ arrival.

Investigation revealed that Hector Jimenez, 45, of Hartland, had crashed his vehicle into another motor vehicle that was not in transport while showing signs of impairment.

Police determined that Jimenez was operating a motor vehicle without a license, criminally.

Police also discovered that Jimenez had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Jimenez was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center for injuries and was later transported to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility, where he was held on $10,000 bail.

Jimenez was issued citations to appear in Rutland County Superior Court on Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. to answer to the charge of DUI, and on Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. to answer to the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
