SUNDERLAND, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred on U.S. Route 7 near mile marker 28.
Troopers were notified of the two-vehicle crash at approximately 11:44 a.m. July 1, 2026.
Investigation revealed that Margarita Ivanova, 24, of Hamilton, New Jersey, was traveling south on U.S. Route 7 in a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she was rear-ended by a black, late-model GMC or Chevrolet truck with Vermont registration.
The truck then fled the scene.
Ivanova was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Her vehicle sustained minor rear-end damage.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the crash.
