NORTHAMPTON, NY — State Police arrested three people following an assault with baseball bats at a beach on State Route 30 on June 28, 2026.
Jessalynn Fancher, 39, of Mayfield, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon 4th and menacing 2nd.
Wilberto Quinones Velazquez, 35, of Schenectady, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon 4th and attempted assault 2nd.
Anibal J. Pino Morales, 38, of Schenectady, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon 4th, attempted assault 2nd and assault 2nd.
State Police responded to the beach at about 2:45 p.m. for a report of a disturbance.
Troopers had been to the beach earlier for a reported verbal altercation that had turned physical between two women.
The parties involved had been separated and had been advised that the beach was not open to the public at the time.
After clearing the scene and returning to patrol, troopers were called back to the beach at about 4:30 p.m. for a report of an additional altercation involving weapons.
The investigation determined that, following the previous altercation, a male party arrived at the scene and confronted the opposing group of individuals involved in the earlier incident.
Following a brief verbal altercation, Quinones Velazquez and Pino Morales reportedly armed themselves with baseball bats.
Fancher then retrieved a bat and approached the altercation, giving the bat to the other male party.
Quinones Velazquez reportedly struck the victim with the bat, but Pino Morales allegedly struck the victim multiple times, causing significant injuries.
A bystander who was attempting to break up the altercation reportedly was also struck by Pino Morales and sustained injuries.
The victim was transported to Nathan Littauer Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Fancher, Quinones Velazquez and Pino Morales were arrested at the scene and transported to SP Mayfield for processing.
Fancher and Quinones Velazquez were issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Northampton Town Court on July 16, 2026, and released.
Pino Morales was transported to the Fulton County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
