LINCOLN, RI — Six Massachusetts men were arrested Tuesday on charges related to an alleged casino cheating scheme.
Members of the Rhode Island State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Massachusetts State Police Organized Crime Unit and Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, arrested the men on arrest warrants.
Giuseppe Manzi, 51, of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, was charged with laundering of monetary instruments, obtaining property by false pretenses, access to computer for fraudulent purposes, casino gaming – cheat to take or collect anything of value, and conspiracy.
Salvatore Fusco, 23, of Agawam, Massachusetts, was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses, access to computer for fraudulent purposes, casino gaming – cheat to take or collect anything of value, and conspiracy.
Claudio Cardaropoli, 47, of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses, access to computer for fraudulent purposes, casino gaming – cheat to take or collect anything of value, and conspiracy.
Alfonso Lalli, 45, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses, access to computer for fraudulent purposes, casino gaming – cheat to take or collect anything of value, and conspiracy.
Antonio Capua, 47, of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, was charged with conspiracy, giving false document to agent, employee or public official, and willful trespass.
Franco Fusco, 27, of Longmeadow, Massachusetts, was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses, access to computer for fraudulent purposes, casino gaming – cheat to take or collect anything of value, and conspiracy.
All six men were taken into custody by Massachusetts State Police and charged as fugitives from justice before being extradited to Rhode Island.
They were processed at the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks and arraigned at Third District Court.
