Woman arrested on DUI charge after crashing into pharmacy in Lyndonville

LYNDONVILLE, VT — A Hyde Park woman was arrested on a DUI charge after crashing her vehicle into a pharmacy building on Broad Street.

Janet Mazzola, 71, of Hyde Park, was driving a 2020 Toyota Tacoma when she crashed into the building at 412 Broad St. at 7:30 p.m. June 29, 2026, according to the Lyndonville Police Department.

A Lyndonville police officer responded to the scene along with Lyndon Rescue and Lyndonville Fire.

Upon arrival, Mazzola displayed signs of impairment by alcohol, police said.

Mazzola was arrested and brought to the Lyndonville Police Department for processing.

She was released to a sober party with a citation into Caledonia Superior Court.

Mazzola is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 31, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

She was also issued two Vermont Civil Violation Complaints totaling $440 in waiver fines and four points.

Mazzola was charged with DUI and grossly negligent operation.

Tpr. Kyle Gorman of the Vermont State Police assisted at the scene.

The truck was towed by Caledonia Wrecker Service of Danville.
