ROUSES POINT, NY — New York State Police arrested a woman on multiple charges following a domestic dispute on June 26, 2026.

Chelsey L. McDonough, 37, of Rouses Point, was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Assault in the Third Degree and Petit Larceny.

Troopers responded to a residence on Champlain Street in the Village of Rouses Point at approximately 4:37 p.m. for a report of a domestic dispute.

An investigation determined that McDonough became involved in a physical altercation with the victim, during which she struck the victim in the ear, causing a laceration that bled.

The victim retreated to an enclosed patio room for safety.

McDonough then damaged the glass door to the patio room and stole several items from the residence that did not belong to her, according to police.

McDonough fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival but was later located and taken into custody.

She was transported to SP Champlain for processing.

Further investigation revealed that McDonough had an active warrant for her arrest.

She was issued an appearance ticket for the charges, returnable to the Town of Champlain Court at a later date.

Due to the active warrant, McDonough was remanded to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, where she was held pending further court proceedings.
