WILLIAMSTOWN, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred June 30, 2026, at 12:09 p.m. near the intersection of Vermont Route 64 and the northbound Exit 5 off-ramp of Interstate 89.
Megan Cooley, 53, of Williamstown, was driving a 2011 Toyota Prius eastbound on Vermont Route 64 when her vehicle was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet Impala operated by Karen Daniels, 58, of Northfield.
Daniels was traveling northbound on the Exit 5 off-ramp at the time of the collision.
Cooley was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center for suspected minor injuries.
Daniels was not injured in the crash.
The Prius was totaled and the Impala sustained heavy damage.
Road conditions were dry and weather was cloudy at the time of the crash.
Both operators were wearing seat belts.
The contributing factors and cause of the crash remain under investigation.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Barre Town EMS, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Williamstown Fire Department and the Barre Town Fire Department.
