WARRINGTON, PA — Police arrested a man accused of participating in a credit card fraud scheme involving unauthorized purchases at Wegmans.
Kareem Ahmed-Aly, 21, of Warrington, was taken into custody on June 24, 2026.
Police were contacted at approximately 11:33 a.m. by a Virginia resident who reported their credit card company had notified them of four unauthorized transactions attempted at two Wegmans locations totaling more than $800.
Officers contacted Wegmans Loss Prevention, who began reviewing the transactions.
At approximately 2:21 p.m., loss prevention notified police that the suspect vehicle had returned to the store at 1405 Main Street to pick up a fraudulent mobile order.
The vehicle fled the area before officers arrived, leaving the parking lot with its trunk still open.
Police located and stopped the vehicle near Valley Square Boulevard and Street Road.
Ahmed-Aly was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.
During questioning, Ahmed-Aly admitted to participating in the fraudulent scheme by picking up mobile orders at Wegmans, according to police.
He told officers that he received the orders through the messaging application Telegram and obtained the merchandise at approximately 50 percent of its retail value.
Ahmed-Aly was charged with two counts each of access device fraud, criminal use of communication facility, theft by unlawful taking or disposition and theft by deception, all felonies or misdemeanors.
He also faces summary violations for operating a vehicle without valid inspection and emissions stickers.
Judge Wertman set bail at $400,000 or 10 percent cash.
Ahmed-Aly was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional facility.
