PROVIDENCE, RI — State Police arrested a Providence man on a domestic violence charge following a traffic stop.
Micardo Nazaire, 34, of Providence, was taken into custody at 2:15 p.m. on Valley Street and charged with Domestic Violation of Protection Order – 2nd Offense.
Nazaire was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and arraigned.
He was turned over to the Adult Correction Institute – Men’s Intake as a bail and probation violator.
In a separate incident, Jereld Sanchez, 22, of Providence, was arrested at 3 p.m. on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant.
The warrant was issued for Failure to Appear for Pre-Arraignment Conference on the original charge of Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety – 1st Offense, originating from the Providence Police Department.
Trooper Muirhead responded to the Rhode Island Tribunal and took Sanchez into custody.
Sanchez was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correction Institution – Men’s Intake.
