HAVERHILL, MA — Two children were seriously injured after a collision involving a bus and a motorized scooter at the intersection of Portland Street and 5th Avenue.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:55 p.m.
Both children were riding a motorized scooter at the time of the collision.
The children were transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The intersection remained an active scene as investigators worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Motorists and pedestrians were asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the investigation is complete.
