Multiple DWI arrests reported across upstate New York

ALBANY, NY — New York State Police reported seven driving while intoxicated arrests across multiple counties between June 16 and June 23, 2026.

On June 16, 2026, at about 9:10 p.m., State Police of Chestertown received an erratic vehicle complaint in the area of Lake Shore Drive.

Troopers patrolled the area and located a vehicle matching the caller’s description and stopped it on Lake Shore Drive in Bolton for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

The driver was identified as Joseph A. Moss, 27, of Hudson Falls.

Also located in the vehicle were two children under the age of 16.

The children were turned over to a sober party, and Moss was arrested for two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child (Leandra’s Law), and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to SP Chestertown for processing, where he recorded a 0.16% BAC.

Moss was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Bolton Town Court on July 8, 2026, and released.

On June 16, 2026, at about 11:12 p.m., State Police of Clifton Park responded to a one-car collision off Par Del Rio into a fire hydrant in Clifton Park.

The uninjured driver was identified as Nicholas M. Fair, 21, of Clifton Park.

Fair was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where he recorded a 0.23% BAC.

Fair was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on July 7, 2026, and released.

On June 17, 2026, at about 5:40 p.m., State Police of Cobleskill stopped a vehicle on State Route 30 in the Town of Fulton for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

The driver was identified as Evan P. Shaul, 19, of Middleburgh.

Also located in the vehicle was a child under the age of 16.

Shaul was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child (Leandra’s Law) and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

The child was turned over to their guardian, who responded to the scene.

Shaul was transported to SP Cobleskill for processing, where he refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood.

Shaul was arraigned at the Schoharie County Centralized Arraignment Part Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.

On June 18, 2026, at about 10:17 p.m., State Police of Chestertown responded to the area of State Route 8 in Johnsburg for the report of an impaired driver.

Troopers located the vehicle matching the caller’s description, and the driver was identified as Mark A. Salis, 55, of Johnsburg.

Salis was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to SP Chestertown for processing, where he recorded a 0.19% BAC.

Salis was issued tickets returnable to the Johnsburg Town Court on June 26, 2026, and released to a sober third party.

On June 19, 2026, at about 5:08 p.m., State Police assigned to the Princetown Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on I-890 in Schenectady for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

The driver was identified as Alex R. Rossler, 22, of Schenectady.

Rossler was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to SP Princetown for processing, where he recorded a 0.21% BAC.

Rossler was issued tickets returnable to the Schenectady City Court on June 23, 2026, and released to a sober third party.

On June 21, 2026, at about 5:24 p.m., State Police of Fonda stopped a vehicle on Trinity Place in Amsterdam for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

The driver was identified as Shawn J. Cebula, 51, of Amsterdam.
