STARKSBORO, VT — A Middlebury man was arrested on multiple charges following a domestic disturbance on June 25, 2026.
Troopers responded to a residence on States Prison Hollow Road at approximately 8:53 a.m.
Investigation revealed Chase Gibbs-Emilio, 26, of Middlebury, assaulted a family member while having two prior convictions for domestic assault.
Gibbs-Emilio also interfered with access to emergency services and made false reports to law enforcement.
Gibbs-Emilio was charged with first degree aggravated domestic assault, interference with access to emergency services and false reports to law enforcement authorities.
He was arrested and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.
Gibbs-Emilio was then transported to the Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, for arraignment.
He was held without bail and transported to the Marble Valley Correctional Facility.
The Vermont State Police was assisted on scene by the Bristol Police Department.
