ROXBURY, MA — A 17-year-old male was arrested on a felony warrant Wednesday in connection with a May shooting incident.
Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested the juvenile at about 10:35 a.m. in the area of 25 Whittier Street.
The arrest stems from an incident on May 10 when officers assigned to District B-2 responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 17 Ruthven Street at about 12:30 p.m.
Officers recovered ballistic evidence at the scene.
At about 1:52 p.m. that day, officers assigned to District E-18 received information that a motor vehicle had been involved in an apparent shooting earlier in the day.
Officers observed ballistic damage to the motor vehicle.
Following an investigation, officers identified the 17-year-old male, of Roxbury, as the suspect.
The juvenile was arrested on a felony warrant out of Boston Juvenile Court on charges of Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Accessory after the Fact.
