ALBANY, NY — A Colonie man was arrested on child sexual exploitation charges following a multi-agency investigation.
Christopher A. Khan, 28, of Colonie, was arrested June 12, 2026, and charged with Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class D felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony.
State Police from Latham, with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, Homeland Security Investigations and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, conducted the investigation.
Khan is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation.
The investigation began with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
A search warrant was executed at Khan’s residence in Colonie on May 14, 2026.
Khan was arrested in the area of South Swan Street in Albany and transported to State Police Latham for processing.
He was then transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
