BARRINGTON, NY — A Delaware woman faces traffic charges following a single-vehicle crash on June 11.
Garnette H. Erskin, 54, of Newark, Delaware, was traveling eastbound on State Route 14A in rainy conditions at approximately 4:35 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a turn, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Erskin’s vehicle struck the south side ditch, re-entered the roadway, crossed State Route 230 and re-entered the south side ditch, Deputy T. Lane reported.
Erskin sustained a head injury and was transported to Corning Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
She was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent and moved from lane unsafely.
The Dundee Fire Department, Dundee Ambulance and Yates County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
