DORSET, VT — A 51-year-old man was arrested June 17 following an investigation into allegations of lewd and lascivious conduct involving a 16-year-old victim.
Malcolm Clough, of Dorset, faces two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct, prohibited conduct, and enabling/furnishing alcohol to a minor.
The Vermont State Police began investigating May 20 after becoming aware of the allegations.
Detectives determined that multiple incidents allegedly occurred on several dates in 2026.
The victim is from Winhall.
Clough was released with several conditions, including a 24-hour curfew at his residence.
He is scheduled to appear before the Bennington County Criminal Division on June 18 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charges.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
