Man arrested on ignition interlock charge in Hellertown

HELLERTOWN, PA — Police arrested a man on charges of illegally operating a motor vehicle not equipped with ignition interlock following a minor crash on June 10, 2026.

Officers responded to Creekside Marketplace at approximately 5:54 p.m. for a motor vehicle crash.

During the investigation, police spoke with Errol Reed Krebs, 44, of Pennsylvania, who was operating one of the vehicles involved.

Officers determined Krebs had an ignition interlock license.

Police discovered the ignition interlock device in the vehicle had been tampered with by covering the camera lens and tampering with the mouthpiece.

Krebs was charged with illegally operating a motor vehicle not equipped with ignition interlock and following too closely.

The charges were filed at District Court 03-2-04.
